Converse Chuck Taylor 1970s Hi

A sneaker from Converse’s Breaking Down Barriers series, this high-top Chuck Taylor celebrates the career of Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton, who became the first African American player to sign a contract with an NBA team when he signed with the Knicks in the summer of 1950. Crafted with glossy blue satin uppers, it’s accented with an All Star logo patch and completed with a special edition heel plaque that marks the first time that another name has ever replaced Chuck Taylor’s on the sneaker’s licence plate.
